The purpose of the Douglas Haig Fellowship is to commemorate and study the life of Field-Marshal Douglas Haig (1861-1928), his achievements and those of the forces he commanded.
The principal aim of the Fellowship is to seek to promote a better understanding of the Field-Marshal and encourage objective study of his contribution to military reform; his generalship and that of his commanders; the command and control of the British Army during the First World War.
The principal annual activities of the Fellowship are the publication of the members’ journal Records and the appointment of a Haig Fellow.
